The Saudi Companies Law, issued via Royal Decree No. (M/132) dated 1/12/1443 AH, established a comprehensive framework regulating various corporate forms, thereby balancing the protection of rights with economic development.

Among the key forms regulated by the Law are the Joint-Stock Company and the Limited Liability Company. While both share the principle of a company’s independent financial identity, they differ in fundamental aspects regarding legal structure, financing, governance, and the ease of ownership transfer. Consequently, choosing between them is a strategic decision contingent upon the nature and objectives of the project.
